July Patch Tuesday

Microsoft released security updates yesterday to address 132 flaws in the Windows Operating System. Nine are rated critical and six are reported as being actively exploited.

Apply these Windows updates as soon as possible and be sure to reboot the computer.

Definition:

Patch Tuesday - refers to the second Tuesday of every month when software vendors, particularly Microsoft, release security patches and updates for their products. It is a scheduled day for the release of these patches to address vulnerabilities and fix bugs in operating systems, applications, and other software. This regular release cycle allows users to stay up to date with the latest security fixes and improvements for their software.
