Cyber Bites

Don’t want to go to school today? There’s an “as-a-Service” for that.

Neglect to study for a test and need more time? For $50 you can utilize a new “Swatting-as-a-Service” which offers to get you the extra day. Using an AI generated voice calling from a VOIP phone number in Ethiopia, the service will call the school about a "suspicious backpack" in a classroom. Over 80 schools in Louisiana, Arizona, and New Mexico have recently received these Swatting calls.

For another $50 you can request a call to authorities with the intent of having the victim hauled off in handcuffs and their house searched.

Hopefully, we can find a way to have our AI figure out when their AI is on the other end of the phone.

Swatting - Dangerous prank where someone makes a false report to emergency services, such as a 911 call, to send a large number of armed police officers to a specific location. This is often done to harass or intimidate someone and can result in serious injury or death for the victim or responding officers.
