Does Security Snapshot take the place of my current IT support organization? - No,we act as an adjunct to your current IT support organization. By working closely together we can help your existing support organization efficiently indentify areas needing to be addressed and establish concrete steps to improve your security posture. 

Does Security Snapshot do general computer support? - No, we do not do general computer support.  We have Partners who specialize in IT support issues that will work remotely with our clients at a specially negotiated rate.

My current IT organization does a good job of managing my computers. We  provide an independent, unbiased audit on the current status of your security procedures.  Today’s security environment is complicated and ever-changing.  A second set of eyes by an organization specializing in computer security gives everyone a better sense of security.

How often should I have my computers checked? - Daily service provides the best level of protection. 

Doesn’t all this security stuff make our computers expensive, slow and hard to use? - Most of the best practices are easy to implement and free.  Prudent security steps do NOT negatively impact your computer systems.

Can my current staff make use of the Security Snapshot or do I need to pay an IT support organization to come in? - Most of the items to be addressed can be easily accomplished by a person with a familiarity of Windows.

How do I even know where to start? - The best place to start is to get a Security Snapshot to establish a baseline.  In the executive summary of the Snapshot we lay out the critical next steps.

I’ve installed whole disk encryption so I’m safe from all this hacking stuff, right? - Whole Disk Encryption provides excellent protection if a computer is lost or stolen.  Unfortunately, a large amount of cyber crime takes place while the computer is turned on and someone is working on it.
